Discounted Prep

Hello! So it's both of us here, and one of our friends recommended that we write a post about places and websites where you can purchase preppy, classic items for a discounted price. Well, our personal favorites are Rue La La and eBay. For those of you that don't know what Rue La La is, it's basically a website full of private sale boutiques. Click here for more info. As for eBay, it is an online store where you can buy pre-owned and occasionally new clothing, accessories, shoes, furniture, books, toys, etc. for a lower price than retail. Other places that you could try are Amazon, and we like to use Google Shopping to compare prices of clothing in stores located near us or online. Recently, we discovered the Preppy Outlet, and the link is here. 6pm.com is also very useful. I (Nicole E.) bought my Hunter boots there at $98 instead of $140.

Right now, you can purchase the Arlen boots from anywhere between $45.48-$51.98.

Another favorite is Bloomingdale's, but only when they're having a sale.

That's another thing: SALES. Often, J.Crew, Vineyard Vines, and Ralph Lauren have MAJOR sales! We like to shop at the J.Crew Factory outlet online. :)

Right now, this Summerweight Cashmere Cardigan is on sale for $83.99 instead of $168. 

Saks Fifth Avenue also occasionally has great sales on Lilly Pulitzer items. 

As for accessories, Benevolent Jewels sells great quality jewelry that mimics the style of J.Crew. (Such as the bubble necklace,  and the beaded rose necklace.)
